Ruach Embodied Jewish Practice

Connect & Support

Monthly Sustainers

We are growing Ruach!

Because the right is escalating repression to fracture our movements, we need somatic skills that help us stay grounded, connected, and capable of taking effective collective action.  We want to offer these skills to more people!

We invite you to join Ruach’s sustaining circle with a tax-deductible monthly donation. Monthly sustainers receive access to a free monthly somatic practice group led by Wes and Dona that begins in September 2026. This group is open to everyone — you do not need to be Jewish to participate.

Course fees only account for 1/3 of our operating budget. Our goal is to raise $70,000 by the end of 2026 to fund a year-long Ruach facilitator training program in 2027, which will expand the reach of Ruach practices.

DONATE BY MAIL

“Ruach reaffirmed our capacity to stay embodied and regulated in our emotional responses and offered us a set of tools for centered responsiveness.

We're excited about the ways our experience in Ruach directly impacts how deeply we're able to show up for our comrades in actively anti-racist ways.”

-Jen/Eleana Hofer and Nomy Lamm, queer, non-binary, Ashkenazi Jews who do creative and political work with Sins Invalid, a disability justice organization.

Name

“Through Ruach, I'm feeling pieces of my mind/body/spirit that have been so fractured in relation to institutional survival beginning to reconnect and reintegrate with more alignment.

I am able to show up to my organizing with more strength and congruence.”

-Jewish activist

“Being part of the Ruach community has provided me with a powerful anchor in my journey of unlearning, relearning and deepening my relationship to the complexity of Jewish lineage.

In order to end the violence of Zionism we need more Jews to access practices that allow us to lean into each other to heal and create a future of peace and belonging.

-sgrg, Jewish parent and activist

“I learned that I can shift habits and paradigms inside of myself that felt so strong that I believed they were me.

I feel the beginnings of healing and of deeper changes to come - I’m so excited about the possibility of bringing this work to more Jews on the Left.”

-Jewish academic
